Who are we?

The Alliance for Regenerative Agriculture is a movement that seeks to bring together all the stakeholders in the agri-food industry who are eager to accelerate the adoption of regenerative agriculture practices. This agricultural transition aims to restore soil health, prevent biodiversity loss, help mitigate the impacts of climate change and enhance farm resilience.

One third of carbon emissions come from the food chain. In the face of the climate emergency, food systems are emerging as an essential part of the solution, but this requires a bold transformation of existing models.

The change starts with a transformation of our agricultural production methods. The current model of intensive agriculture is causing concern, with almost 40% of the world's land being considered degraded, up from 25% in 2017. Studies also suggest a decline in the nutritional quality of crops and the prospect of a drastic reduction in the number of harvests.

Regenerative agriculture is one solution. This approach acknoweldges that nature can once again become a powerful ally in revitalising soils, restoring biodiversity, capturing carbon, preserving water and thus strengthening the resilience of farms and food systems.

However, this transition to regenerative agriculture requires active support and close collaboration between all the stakeholders of the industry, such as producers, agricultural cooperatives, distributors and manufacturers, to build and innovate together, from production to consumption!

Initiated and launched by the Bel group, this Alliance aims to bring together all the players in the food chain to accelerate the transition and help bring about this agricultural transition.

Together, we can breathe new life into the earth and guarantee its capacity to sustain future lives.
